We are a very active, educational, and welcoming organization. In the early 1990s, the Harrisburg Chapter was formed by a group of forward-thinking and food-loving individuals with a simple mission in mind.
Since the formation of ACF Harrisburg Chapter PA-181, we have seen a continuous growth of our very open and fun-loving group of individuals, from Executive Chefs, Educators, Young Culinarians, Charitable Organizations, and Food Enthusiasts called “Foodies.”
In this website, we hope you read our newsletters, see our pictures, and browse our site for all it has to offer you.
Please contact us if you have any questions of interest about the American Culinary Federation or our local ACF Harrisburg Chapter.
It is our goal to make a positive difference for culinarians through
education, apprenticeship, and certification, while creating a fraternal
bond of respect and integrity among culinarians everywhere.
As a proud member of the American Culinary Federation, I pledge to share my professional knowledge and skill with all culinarians. I will place honor, fairness, cooperation and consideration first when dealing with my colleagues. I will keep all comments professional and respectful when dealing with my colleagues. I will protect all members from the use of unfair means, unnecessary risks and unethical behavior when used against them for another’s personal gain. I will support the success, growth, and future of my colleagues and this great federation.
Adopted at Board of Governors, August 3, 2010
Congratulations to Chef Brian Peffley CEPC, CCE AAC Pastry Arts Instructor at Lebanon County Career & Technology Center on being named 2023 Pennsylvania ProStart Educator of Excellence!
This award recognizes educators who demonstrate excellence in the classroom, along with passion, commitment, and creativity in all aspects of the ProStart program.
Chef Peffley has been a pastry arts instructor at Lebanon County CTC for more than 25 years, and was an early adopter of the ProStart curriculum in his classroom. His students receive the full culinary experience through their involvement in community events, industry competitions, and running a lunchtime eatery. In addition, Chef Peffley was instrumental in bringing an accredited postsecondary apprenticeship program to Lebanon County, which operates in conjunction with Hershey Entertainment and Resorts.
